Ex-cop-turned-bodyguard Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger) uncovers a demonic plot when he prevents the assassination of his wealthy Wall Street employer (Gabriel Byrne). It transpires that Cane's boss is none other than Satan himself, come to take a young woman, Christine York (Robin Tunney), as his bride, who was secretly anointed by a satanic cult at birth.
